About This Session

How can we design investigations to spark real-world change, and how can we measure that change? Making, demonstrating and quantifying impact has become essential to investigative journalism's sustainability and credibility. As newsrooms worldwide create dedicated impact roles, this panel brings together leaders who have successfully embedded impact into editorial strategy, workflows and metrics. Speakers will share proven methodologies for building impact-focused newsroom culture and tracking story outcomes. Through case studies and practical tools, attendees will learn to design strategic impact frameworks to define, create and measure the value that their reporting brings to communities, audiences and wider society.
