About This Session

From FRONTLINE and the Venezuelan investigative outlet Armando.info, this Emmy-nominated documentary investigates the figure at the heart of a corruption scandal spanning from Venezuela to the U.S. The film tells the inside story of Alex Saab, his capture and subsequent release by the U.S. in a controversial prisoner swap, and what has happened to the journalists who helped uncover the scandal. The documentary also reveals how Nicolás Maduro has managed to hold onto power through corruption, repression, and control of vital food programs.
