Timothy Large

As Director of Independent Media Programmes at the International Press Institute (IPI), Timothy Large leads the consortium behind the Investigative Journalism for Europe (IJ4EU) fund, which channels public and philanthropic support into cross-border investigative reporting while safeguarding editorial independence. Before joining IPI, he was the founding editor of Reporting Democracy and editor of the Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence at the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network. Earlier in his career, he directed media development programmes at Reuters, served as editor-in-chief of the Thomson Reuters Foundation, led the humanitarian news service Reuters AlertNet, and worked as a Reuters correspondent.
