Roby Alampay

Roby Alampay is an award-winning Filipino journalist, media developer, and press-freedom advocate. He is founder of PumaPodcast, a pioneering audio-storytelling platform in Southeast Asia dedicated to independent journalism and the power of listening. Currently he serves as the Asia Regional Adviser for International Media Support (IMS), helping strengthen media capacity, democracy, and civic dialogue across the region. Roby holds degrees from the University of the Philippines and Columbia University. At GIJC 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, he will share insights and models for using and innovating with audio to expand the reach and impact of investigative journalism.
