Rahma Behi is a multilingual investigative journalist and digital content strategist with over 11 years of experience in editorial leadership, cross-border reporting, and multimedia storytelling. A member of the Oxford Climate Journalism Network and the Global Investigative Journalism Network, Behi specializes in climate, human rights, financial crimes and corruption, with a strong focus on solutions-driven reporting.
Over the course of her career, Rahma has been recognized with numerous awards for excellence in journalism, including the Arab Climate Journalism Award (2025), the Lina Ben Mhenni Prize for Freedom of Expression (2024), and the Journalists for Human Rights Tunisia – Best Journalistic Work Award (2024). In 2021, the Global Investigative Journalism Network honored her with the Best Investigative Report in the Arab World, and in 2022, she received first prize for Best Multimedia Work on Human Rights along with a Motivational Award at Tunisia’s National Competition for Human Rights Journalism.
As Senior Reporter and Head of the International Investigations Department at AlQatiba web-magazine, Rahma has led groundbreaking cross-border investigations, including “Dubai Unlocked” and “Swiss Secrets”. Her work emphasizes climate, environmental, and human rights reporting tailored for Arabic-speaking audiences. She oversees editorial teams, coordinates international collaborations, and mentors emerging journalists.
Rahma’s professional journey also spans roles as Senior Editor at UltraTunisia, TV Journalist and Producer for Carthage+, Radio Journalist and Producer for Diwan FM, and Senior News Editor at Hakaekonline, all based in Tunisia. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, Advertising, and Marketing from the Academy of Cinematographic and Theatrical Sciences in Lebanon and is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
