María Paula Murcia Huertas

Co-founder and Project and Impact Editor at Mutante, a Colombian based independent media outlet awarded the 2024 King of Spain for Iberoamerican Media Outlet. Mutante activates participatory journalism to spark social conversations on pressing issues. With a background in Journalism, Anthropology and Rural Development, her research interests include the ethical dimensions of knowledge production, the thought infrastructure behind disinformation and prejudice and exploring theorizations of new futures through the lens of political ecology and the stories we tell ourselves to understand it.
