About

Carla Minet is a journalist and also the executive director of the Center for Investigative Journalism in Puerto Rico. Her investigative work ranges from political campaign donations to environmental issues and government affairs. For the past 20 years she worked as a reporter, researcher, editor and producer for radio, television and online, in traditional and independent media outlets such as Channel 6 Public Television, El Nuevo Día, Univision, NotiCel, among other. She is a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and the Puerto Rico Association of Journalists. She has been a contributor to The New York Times, The Washington Post, NPR and BBC. For six years, she was executive director of the organization Community Press in Puerto Rico. She graduated from the Public Communication School at the University of Puerto Rico, and her master's in journalism is a joint degree between the University of Barcelona and Columbia University in New York. She has been a speaker at conferences and forums, trainer at the Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE), the Latino Media Summit and the NAHJ conference, and professor at the University of Puerto Rico.
