About
Mervet Chaktmi is a Tunisian researcher and journalist currently working with France 24. She is a PhD student at the Institute of Press and Information Sciences (Tunisia) and at University of Paul Valéry Montpellier 3 (France). Her academic research focuses primarily on investigative journalism, a field to which she has devoted much of her scholarly work. She has published several academic articles and actively participated in specialized conferences and seminars, where she explores various dimensions of investigative reporting and highlights its vital role in society.In addition to her work on investigative journalism, she has expanded her research to include contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence and fact-checking, examining how these technologies can enhance verification processes and help combat misinformation. Alongside her academic and journalistic activities, she has collaborated with several esteemed institutions, including the Media Development Center (MDC) in Tunisia, the Francophone University Agency (AUF), UNICEF, and the Center for Arab Women for Training and Research (CAWTAR).
