Laura Scofield is an investigative journalist covering politics at Agência Pública de Jornalismo Investigativo, based in Brasília, Brazil. She has worked on several transnational investigations, reporting on issues such as lobbying by Big Tech and the tobacco industry. She graduated from the University of São Paulo (USP), and her work has been recognized with awards including the 2024 Javier Valdez Latin American Award for Investigative Journalism (2nd place) and the 2020 Roche Prize for Health Journalism.
