About

Kwaku Krobea Asante is a journalist with years of experience in investigative journalism and disinformation investigations. He currently works as a Programme Manager at the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA), a regional independent non-governmental organisation in West Africa that works to promote freedom of expression and the safety of journalists. At the MFWA, he leads the Independent Journalism Project, which comprises The Fourth Estate, the foremost niche investigative journalism outlet in Ghana, and Fact-Check Ghana, dedicated to countering disinformation. Kwaku has featured on the BBC, DW, and Altinget in Denmark, among others. His exceptional journalism has earned him several accolades, including the 2024 Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Media Africa Award 2024 and recognitions at the 2024 African Investigative Journalist of the Year award and the 2025 KAS Media Africa Award.
