Kristina Abovyan is an independent investigative journalist based in Armenia specializing in research, reporting, and fact-checking for investigative documentaries. Most recently, she was an associate producer on a PBS documentary about the rise of the new right in Germany and across Europe. She also completed a reporting fellowship with FRONTLINE PBS in Boston, United States, where she worked on investigations on national politics, crime and environmental policy.
In addition to her journalism work, Kristina is a lecturer at the American University of Armenia, where she teaches journalism. She holds a master’s degree from the Missouri School of Journalism and a bachelor’s in English and communications from the American University of Armenia.
