E’thar AlAzem

E'thar AlAzem is a Jordanian journalist who joined ARIJ in 2022. She is an investigative journalist and a data trainer. Ethar holds a Master’s degree in Journalism and New Media from the Jordan Media Institute 2020, along with a Data Diploma Certificate from ARIJ with the support of ICFJ 2020, with another Data Certificate from DW Academy. E’thar trained hundreds of journalists and fact-checkers on working with data, collecting it from open sources or by using methodological tools—as well as on data analysis. She also guides reporters through challenging investigations, bringing stories to life by transforming raw data into compelling narratives that are easier to understand, remember, and act upon — all to promote accountability by exposing wrongdoing.
