Dragana Pećo is an investigative journalist and editor from Serbia with 15 years of experience in investigative journalism. With her Serbian colleagues in 2015, she established KRIK in Belgrade, one of the leading online investigative media outlets in the Balkans. Currently, Dragana is a member of the Investigative Team at Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP). Prior to that, she was part of OCCRP Research & Data Team as a researcher. Dragana is also a member of The International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and she participated in several ICIJ’s as well as other international journalism projects. She investigates organised crime and corruption, offshore secret deals, and tracks down people, companies, and assets across the globe. Her stories revealed some of the biggest corruption cases in her home country and abroad. Dragana received several national and international journalistic awards. She also trains other journalists to follow the money. Because of her work, her apartment was broken into, she received several SLAPP lawsuits by powerful players, was targeted by online harassment and a smear campaign, and received death threats. In 2022, Dragana was a fellow at the Rest and Refuge Fellowship Program for Journalists in Berlin, a joint program by Reporters Without Borders Germany and The taz Panter Foundation, helping journalists from countries with restricted media freedom. Dragana is a graduate from the Faculty of Political Science, University of Belgrade, where she received a bachelor's degree in journalism. In 2024, she obtained Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS).
