Beauregard Tromp is currently the convenor of the African Investigative Journalism Conference, the largest gathering of investigative journalists in Africa. He is a  2013 Nieman Fellow and has received significant recognition for his work, including the CNN/Multichoice African print Journalist of the Year award and being named South African Journalist of the Year. Tromp is a former deputy editor at the Mail & Guardian and has worked at various titles. He is currently an editor at the African Investigative Journalism Network, supporting investigative journalism work, resourcing and cross-border collaborations throughout Africa. Tromp is the previous Africa Editor at OCCRP.
