Abdus Somad

Abdus Somad began his journalism career as a contributor for various media outlets, such as Suara.com, Gatra, and Tempo in 2017. He started working for Jaring.id - a non-profit media outlet based in Jakarta focused on investigative reporting - in 2019. Somad is the recipient of numerous journalism fellowships, from the Pulitzer Center, Journalismfund, and the Earth Journalism Network. He has also won national and regional journalism awards on the topics of corruption, environment, human rights, ocean and fisheries, wildlife trafficking, and science.
