Sharad Vyas

Sharad Vyas is a senior researcher with the OCCRP and an independent consultant focused on issues of tech and surveillance. His areas of focus include supply chain mapping and following the data and the law of the surveillance market. Sharad is a trained anti-money laundering, financial crime, and cryptocurrency investigator. He has worked on several global cross-border projects and supported surveillance research for non-profits and civil society, including exposing links of the Indian intelligence agencies in procuring Pegasus and additional use of domestic malware in South East Asia. Sharad has delivered trainings around Asia on corporate research, financial forensics, and crypto tracing, helping journalists untangle complex corporate structures, supply chains, on-chain crypto flows, and digital surveillance, among other topics.
