Since 2015, he has worked as a journalist with leading national and international media outlets, including New Age, Banglanews24.com, and Peace News Network. Over the decade, he has reported extensively on critical issues such as environment, politics, corruption, health, gender, climate change, and the Rohingya crisis, with a special focus on the socio-political dynamics of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, and the Chattogram Hill Tracts. His journalistic work has often highlighted the intersection of governance, human rights, and media, reflecting a commitment to giving voice to marginalized communities and uncovering issues of public interest. This professional grounding deeply informs his academic practice, allowing him to bridge theory and practice in the classroom and engage students in critical thinking, investigative approaches, and ethical media practices. He is particularly interested in exploring how journalism interacts with governance and policy frameworks. Through his dual role as a researcher and practitioner, he remains dedicated to advancing both academic knowledge and professional standards in journalism, with the aim of fostering a more informed, democratic, and inclusive society.
