Musab Al-Shawabkeh

Musab Al-Shawabkeh is an investigative producer at Al Jazeera Arabic Channel since 2019, with over 15 years of experience in investigative journalism, documentary production, media training, and digital investigations across the Arab region.Before joining Al Jazeera, he led the Digital Investigation Section at Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ) and previously served as its Senior Editor and Trainer. He also headed the Investigative Journalism Unit at Community Media Network (Radio Al-Balad & Ammannet) in Jordan, where he produced award-winning investigations addressing corruption, human rights, and accountability.Musab is the lead author of several professional handbooks, including the Investigative Journalism Handbook (Al Jazeera Media Institute, 2020) and the Handbook of Investigations for Human Rights (Journalists for Human Rights, 2019). He also contributed a chapter, “The Art of Confrontation in Investigative Journalism”, to ARIJ’s book On the Path of Truth (2018).Musab is a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and the International Press Institute (IPI) and has served on juries for several journalism awards.He also specializes in the laws of the right to access information in the Arab region.
