About

As MDIF’s Program Director for Southeast Asia, Mayuri Mei Lin helps in shaping the organization’s regional strategy and overseeing relationships with investment clients across the region. In this role she facilitates technical assistance, drives pipeline investments and works closely with MDIF’s investment and advisory teams to help independent media strengthen their operations and achieve long term sustainability. She brings over a decade of experience in journalism, from editorial and visual storytelling to product development and audience growth. Previously, as Senior Program Officer for Asia, Mayuri coordinated Amplify Asia, MDIF’s business capacity-building program supporting independent media in Southeast Asia. Her previous experiences include coordinating international media training programs at the City University of New York and leading the BBC World Service’s East Asia Visual Journalism hub, producing digital storytelling projects across the region. She holds a Master’s degree from New York University in journalism and digital innovation and is passionate about making news more sustainable, inclusive and accessible.
