Christoph Plate

Christoph Plate is a political analyst and media expert - having worked as a correspondent, reporter and editor in Europe, Africa and the Middle East for 25 years, he started working for the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in 2017, directing their Media Programme for Subsaharan Africa. The Programme works on business models for media in dire circumstances, war and crisis reporting, the challenges of mis- and disinformation, media and terrorism. Since September 2023 he is based in Sofia, directing the KAS Media Programme for South Eastern Europe - working on similar topics - as the challenges in media and political communication are universal.
