Documentary Screening - The Lundin Case: Silence Every Witness

9:15am - 12:00pm on Monday, November 24
KLCC Level 4 - Room 408

About This Session

Swedish businessman Ian Lundin amassed billions through the oil trade, alongside his associate Alexandre Schneiter, former CEO of Lundin Petroleum. Years ago, both men were accused of grave crimes: between 1999 and 2003, they allegedly abetted war crimes in an effort to secure oil exploration in Sudan. Lundin and Schneiter became the focus of a landmark trial in Sweden, a five-year proceeding that ended with a request for dismissal. Yet The Lundin Case uncovers how plaintiffs and key witnesses were subjected to intimidation, threats, violence, and even murder. The documentary maps out a chilling story of power abused without restraint to deny justice to the victims of war crimes.
